Monday, February 07, 2005 Its been a really, really been a hell of a week for me. Projects deadlines. Presentation. And running from place to place, I'm too tired and slept once my head reaches my pillow.
Friday's the project deadline for Advanced Audio Production and Advanced Computer Animation. I basically came early and rushed all the things that's lacking before the submission of the projects. Everyone's slogging their lives out til their last breath. Our group has a presentation to prepare too. Filming almost the whole day on Saturday. We got all the props, the cameras, the place and the drum set ready. We waited for the band and we got started shooting soon after. Its really cool to see the whole band play outdoors and there was an acoustic drum set present. Well, for the whole day, I did not eat anything so when we wrapped up after 6pm, I was shivering and I was feeling really faint... but still managed to walk and talk clearly. The thing about sitting at the back of the lorry is that you can feel the wind slapping across your face, messing your hair while its going at a high speed. I really enjoyed the ride and I felt that the trip from Singapore Botanical Gardens to Tampines was quite short. Sunday, my team and I met up for interium presentation preparation and we managed to clear some things and got almost all the points done. Shopping soon after, we managed to get same color formal suits at G2000 and at quite a cheap price. We went our seperate ways and I got to do some Chinese New Year shopping myself. I browsed through Far East Plaza shops all the way to Heeren's shops. Of course, I had to skip The Paragon! Got myself a plain and simple polo-tee in the end. Like every year during the period of Chinese New Year, my brother and I would gather around with my father's relatives for a big reunion dinner. Its like visiting my grandmother once in every year. I was really amazed that some of my younger cousins grow alot. I mean, last year, they were still sucking milk in the cradle but now, they are able to run and jump about at the playground. And my younger cousins are really cute and adorable. My dad gave us a trip back home via cab. Well, he hailed a cab and paid us the money for the fare and got into the cab with us. So, its like giving us a trip back. The whole time inside the cab, he was talking about his experiences on the road and also the accidents he saw. I could say he's really an experienced driver. When I was young, I remembered he drove lorries, trucks, vans, cabs (He was a taxi driver once) and now his occupation is being a bus driver. I didn't manage to ask him what bus service number he drives. Well, its back to doing my presentation slides once I got home. Presentation day! I was really nervous and started to have sweaty palms moments before it was my turn to present. I did quite ok I guess, except that I fumbled on some words. But overall, I could have done better. After all was said and done, we breathed a sigh of relief that we tackled 2 projects and 1 presentation down. And for now... its time to enjoy the term break. A week or maybe less than a week since Chinese New Year falls on the week, too short, but I say its better than nothing. I slept immediately after changing and once I jumped myself on the bed. I was really tired. My fan wasn't working so my mom and I bought one home. My brother was supposed to carry it back home instead of me but he went out! In the end, I had to carry the fan and took a bus with my mom back home before I went out via a cab. We didn't manage to hail a cab because it was after office hours already, traffic was hell and drivers went trigger happy with their car horns. So I brought the fan home and rushed myself to meet up with my friends. But somehow, I did get into a taxi shortly thereafter. The driver had mistaken me for a malay and I had mistaken him for a malay. Hm... So people, have a prosperous Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai, Wan Shi Ru Yi! | |
