Today I took a day off and went to buy a new pair of spectacles for my driving... And I went back to my old home... Telok Blangah Drive... Too bad the 'uncle' of the optical shop didn't seem to remember me... Oh well, he has been operating the shop there for more than 10 years... and I was always his loyal customer!
Walking towards my own block...
I used to live in Block 65 of Telok Blangah Drive and I was fascinated how this place has changed completely...
After I moved out from this place 10 years ago, I told myself I would come back and take a look at my old home, my neighbourhood... and I did!. So nostalgic!
There wasn't a "Telok Blangah Mall" here before... and this area had been refurbished and now this place currently holds 4 food centres! I remembered we had limited options to dine out whenever my mother decided not to cook.. now you would be spoilt for choices!
Hahaa.. Nostalgic man... I remembered I always accompained my mother to shop for groceries, then all the "aunties" here would say "Wah 你的儿子很 cute leh!" Of course, now I'm not that cute anymore! Haha...
Anybody has been living in Telok Blangah will know that there is one stall which sells the best carrot cake and another muslim stall which sells mee goreng. I went there today and I'm not sure they are still around... they tasted normal to me...
Got my spectacles, got my Provisional Driving License... Driving here I come! Aiming for a clean sheet, that means everything pass in one shot. God bless me!!
